Before and After School Programming
Success Zone is the youth component of FBISD's Community Education Program.
Intermediate Level: Lessons will take place in a thirteen-foot deep pool. A swim test will be mandatory to take lessons in the competition pool.
Day 1: Students will go through stroke refreshers. Lessons will be based on their proficiency of the various strokes. Water safety rules will also be presented.
Day 2: Continuation of different swim strokes. Lessons include diving and increasing swim endurance.
Day 3: Water safety is revisited, with safety lesson #2. Lessons continue, focusing on any swim strokes that students would like to advance on; for example, the butterfly stroke.
Day 4: Students get to display what they have learned, in an Olympic-style fashion; this includes relay races and other fun activities!
