AM-ART: Kintsugi Pottery

AIM at Colony Meadows / 2026 Session 3: June 22-25 -
2026 Summer

Students will explore the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi, the practice of repairing broken pottery with gold, silver, or colored lacquer, turning imperfections into a source of beauty. In this hands-on workshop, students will mend and transform their own pieces, learning how to embrace mistakes as opportunities for creativity and expression. This experience fosters patience, mindfulness, and artistic skill, while encouraging students to see value in uniqueness and imperfection. By the end of the session, each student will have a one-of-a-kind Kintsugi creation to proudly display. Instructed by: FBISD Certified Teacher
