Step into the spotlight and become the star of your own story in iMovie Making Studio. This exciting course fosters creativity, boosts confidence, and builds foundational media literacy skills. Using iMovie, students will learn how to create engaging informational trailers that showcase their unique personalities, interests, and talents. By the end of the course, each student will have a personalized, professional-looking trailer that highlights what makes them special.

Beginner Level: Lessons will take place in a four-foot deep pool. PreK students must wear a life jacket when seated by the pool, awaiting their turn with the swim instructor. Day 1: Students will be introduced to the pool facility and a warm-up activity. Students will take a swim test to gauge their comfort level and water proficiency. Beginner swim lessons will acclimate students to the water and learn important water safety rules. Day 2: Students will continue swim lessons, focusing on arm movement and kicking. If needed, attention can be given to those who struggle with putting their face under water and holding their breath. Day 3: Water safety is revisited, with safety lesson #2. Lessons continue, focusing on arm movement and kicking with more independence. Day 4: Students get to display what they have learned, in an Olympic-style fashion; this includes relay races and other fun activities!

Intermediate Level: Lessons will take place in a thirteen-foot deep pool. A swim test will be mandatory to take lessons in the competition pool. Day 1: Students will go through stroke refreshers. Lessons will be based on their proficiency of the various strokes. Water safety rules will also be presented. Day 2: Continuation of different swim strokes. Lessons include diving and increasing swim endurance. Day 3: Water safety is revisited, with safety lesson #2. Lessons continue, focusing on any swim strokes that students would like to advance on; for example, the butterfly stroke. Day 4: Students get to display what they have learned, in an Olympic-style fashion; this includes relay races and other fun activities!

In Anime/Manga Character Creation, we empower students with the building blocks needed to create anime/manga imagery. From learning how to draw anime-style faces to capturing the dynamism of manga-inspired character poses, this workshop will educate students on the importance of head and figure proportions and incorporating authentic anime/manga details.

Welcome to the wonderful and exciting world of screen printing. Danny Russo introduces participants to a versatile printing process utilized by visual artists worldwide. The printing technique allows participants to quickly and easily make multiple images of original art. Countless ink and paper color choices are possible; participants will be amazed by how quickly and easily they learn to make stunning prints. This workshop can also reveal to participants how math, science, and history are an integral part of the screen-printing process – which is actually centuries old!

In Fashion Design, through crafts and projects, students engage with different materials and learn a variety of design and sewing skills. As Fashion Entrepreneurs, students research trends, build a unique brand, and then turn that brand into a successful company!
