FBISD Extended Learning Department

Get ready to explore the creative world of cake decorating! In this hands-on 8-week class, students will learn how to make American buttercream, properly prepare and hold a piping bag, and create a variety of decorating techniques including stars, shells, rosettes, flowers, leaves, braided borders, and more. Each week, students will build upon previously learned skills while practicing with decorating tools and completing fun projects such as cupcakes and seasonal designs. Students will also strengthen confidence, creativity, fine motor skills, and proper kitchen habits along the way. The semester will conclude with a special Parent Showcase where students can demonstrate their new decorating skills and create alongside their families.
