    Nexplore 3D Printing Start+ empowers students to bring their imaginations into reality with 3Doodler pens. Each lesson combines a structured STEAM project with wiggle room to doodle, explore, and create their own ideas. Students might construct landforms to learn about geography or use geometry to make their own shapeshifters. Nexplore 3D Printing Start+ transforms STEM concepts into 3D projects and sparks joy as students watch science come to life. Semester at a Glance Week Topic Lesson 1 Tessellations Students cover a 3D shape in a tessellation, using visualization, spatial reasoning, and geometric modeling to solve a problem through design. 2 3D Geography Students create a paper map with a compass rose and key. The map will include at least one 3D landform, made with the 3Doodler pen. 3 Earth’s Structure and Beyond Students sketch and compare a cross-section of planet Earth with cross-sections of other planets. 4 Doodle Multiples Students organize multiples in a table and use them to create a design based on a set of instructions, providing them with practice in either skip counting or multiples, depending on the grade curriculum. 5 Pinecone Counting Students doodle pinecone scales with different colors, then work with the numerical significance of the scales to learn about fractions. 6 Pentomino Puzzler Students create a set of 3Doodled pentominoes and then assemble them to solve the 6x10 rectangle. 7 Doodle-Engineering-Challenge (Scientific Method) A Students attempt to build the tallest structure in the class. In addition to the 3Doodler, students will be given either toothpicks or straws as construction materials. The 3Doodler will be used to adhere the building materials together. 8 Doodle-Engineering-Challenge (Scientific Method) B Students use higher-level thinking skills to make predictions in order to form a hypothesis, record materials, observations, results, and analyze structures to determine the key to building the tallest tower. 9 Puppets and Props Students create unique finger puppets and collaborate to reenact a story. 10 Plant Adaptations Students discover and sketch an imaginary new plant within a particular biome, synthesizing and applying what they know about plant adaptations.

    Does your child LOVE to cook? Do you have a picky eater? This introductory level food literacy program teaches simple cooking techniques, food origins, seasonal recipes, and kitchen safety while having hands-on fun! Students gain self- confidence and priceless life skills while reinforcing core academics. Each session brings a different themed syllabus. This class can accommodate nut allergies. Instructors are professionally trained classroom educators, chefs, or nutritionists. We will accommodate nut allergies only.     Little Ballerz Basketball is an educational services after-school program aimed at teaching young people important life skills and key fundamentals for basketball.   • Virtual Reality

    Embark on an EPIC adventure in virtual reality! In this cutting-edge class, learn the foundations of VR design by creating your own virtual worlds, exploring simulated environments, crafting 3D experiences, and learning basic programming concepts. At the end of the week, take home your first cardboard VR headset to show friends and family the new worlds you created. VR projects can be viewed on a website or mobile device. Students do not need a mobile device to take the class but will need access to a mobile device at home. VR projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.
  • Watercolor Pencils

    This fun visual art class focuses on creating compositions using traditional visions (portraits,landscapes, and still life) as the subject matter. Students will learn and utilize two techniques (graphite transfer and grid technique) to first develop their compositions. Semester at a Glance Week Skills Lesson/Activity 1 Tools and Styles and Foundation Overview – Art History Students will get familiar with tools and the history of watercolor. Students will learn brushstroke styles and color theory. 2 Color Theory and Techniques Students will learn color theory and learn about perspectives to develop a discerning eye. Cold press or hot press, and warm versus cool colors. Sketching techniques started. 3 Shading Still Life Students will select begin working on their still life sketch and outline. Students will learn shading, light versus dark colors and layering. 4 Landscapes and Animals and Pencil/ Charcoal Overlay Students will learn composition and balance. Students will sketch and begin their piece using animal subjects in a landscape. Students will combine both pencil/ charcoal work and watercolor overlay. 5 Salt Technique with Planets and Outerspace Students will paint planets in their third watercolor artwork. Tips on how to improve through different brush size and salt overlay/technique. 6 Glazing and Layering Techniques Students will paint an underwater scene in their fourth artwork. Tips on glazing and layering. 7 Resist and Blending Techniques Students will learn about using gum glue to allow for negative space within their fifth artwork of choice. 8 Wet on wet and Blotting Techniques Students will create their sixth work of art of any choice or subject matter for their final exhibition. Learning the wet on wet technique and applying all six techniques learned. Instructor individual feedback provided. 9 Final Artwork of Choice Students will continue to work on and complete their final artwork for student sharing. Instructor individual feedback provided. 10 Final Showcase How to photograph and document your artwork. Final exhibition with student sharing showcase and critique.
  • Cheer with I Adore Athletics

    Our cheer program will provide your participant with all the spirit, cheers, chants, jumps and dancing they can handle! We also incorporate social emotional learning or SEL activities that focus on team building, problem solving, social awareness and more! Participants will learn new skills each week and at the end of our cheer program; students will have built the confidence to put on an exciting cheerleading showcase with a full routine of the cheers, chants, jumps and dances!     Nexplore Pottery offers a unique outlet for young artists to sculpt their ideas into one-of-a-kind creations, fostering self-expression and building confidence. This multisensory craft offers joy in experiencing the touch, smells, and sights of clay. Students learn to strategically use a pottery wheel and sculpting tools to create imaginative projects. Manipulating clay helps students understand that they can change something with their own hands and influence the outside world. Semester at a Glance Week Project Lesson 1 Clay Slab Pendants Students create a pendant and learn the techniques needed to work with clay slabs: flattening, cutting, hole punching, and carving the slabs. 2 Paint Your Pendant Students paint their pendants, practicing basic principles for painting on non-flat surfaces. 3 Pinch Pots Students create a pot and learn about pinching techniques, drawing on experience from past classes to carve details or smooth imperfections on their pot. 4 Paint Your Pinch pot Students paint their pinch pots, learning about using geometric shapes in design. 5 Coil Pots Students create a coil pot, learning the techniques needed to size and roll long coils of clay and wrap the coil to create a round pot shape. 6 Paint Your Coil Pot Students paint their coil pots, learn to use pointillism in painting. 7 Pinch Pot Creatures Students make a creature, use structural support to attach body parts, and engage in imaginative creation. 8 Paint Your Pinch Pot Creatures Students paint their Pinch Pot Creatures, learn about color theory, and combine colors to create new shades. 9 Pinch Pot, Coil, and Slab Animal Design Students make an animal, making artistic choices on how to combine techniques learned from all previous classes. 10 Paint Your Animal Students paint their animals, learning to use patterns and repetition in their painting.
