Shine a little love as you visit gardens in Ireland and create happy and surprised pumpkin faces as you discover traditions in Scotland. Grab your lantern to light the way for an exploration of feathery painting, collage, stamping, weaving and much more. Week Lesson/Activity 1 Shine Your Light Doodle Create a wire sculpture with pipe cleaners, contact paper, and ribbons while adding patterns using tissue paper and washi tape. 2 Global Love Box Doodle Draw a three-dimensional box and explore patterns, color and symbols using watered markers and heart shapes cut from textured and patterned papers. 3 Brazilian Carnival Color Wheel Doodle Create a dancer in a Carnival costume using feathers and other embellishments while learning about primary and secondary colors. 4 English May Day Flowers Doodle Assemble a flower maypole using ribbons and washi tape to make a flower with colorful patterns. Wrap yarn and natural objects around a stick to create the pole. 5 USA Fireworks Doodle Create a relief sculpture of a cardboard city skyline and use tempera paint to depict fireworks. 6 Israeli Light Celebration Doodle Create a menorah with nine candles and use markers and colored pencils to design each candle with Zentangle patterns. 7 USA Thanksgiving Doodle Use tempera paint to explore finger painting and paint with feathers to create a turkey on poster board. 8 German Wintery Fir Tree Doodle Use triangular paper shapes to create trees and decorate them with washi tape and other embellishments. Place the trees on painted, folded paper, arranged like an accordion. 9 Irish Shamrock Garden Doodle Create a shamrock by mixing tempera shades of green and experimenting with stamping using circular objects and dabbers. 10 Showcase / Artist Challenge Children will select the materials for their creative inspiration and parents will be invited to join in on the fun.

Drumline is an exciting course within the world of marching percussion where marching snares, tenors, and basses are the focus! This is a performance class where students learn the value of teamwork, rhythm, and count. All equipment will be provided during class. Week Skills Lesson/Activity 1 Counting and Constructing a Beat Students will learn the principals of counting and construct a beat that incorporates the hi-hats, snare drum, and bass drum. 2 Holding Drum Sticks Students will learn how to hold drum sticks properly and start playing on drum pads. 3 Playing Snare Drums and Drum Set Posture Students will learn the proper posture when playing the drums. 4 Counting Students will learn about counting and playing at the same time. 5 Singles and Doubles Students will learn singles and doubles and practice with a metronome. 6 Song Selection, Singles and Doubles (continuation) Students will select a song and practice the beats. 7 Practice for Recital, Singles and Doubles (continuation) Students will continue to practice for their recital performance. 8 Practice for Recital, Singles and Doubles (continuation) Students will continue to practice for their recital performance. 9 Practice for Recital Students will continue to practice for their recital performance. 10 Recital Day Parents will be invited to the last class to see their child’s performance.

This beginner course introduces students to the exciting world of martial arts in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. Students will learn the fundamentals of various martial arts disciplines, including basic stances, strikes, and kicks, while developing important life skills such as discipline, focus, respect, and confidence. Embark on an EPIC adventure in virtual reality! In this cutting-edge class, learn the foundations of VR design by creating your own virtual worlds, exploring simulated environments, crafting 3D experiences, and learning basic programming concepts. At the end of the week, take home your first cardboard VR headset to show friends and family the new worlds you created. VR projects can be viewed on a website or mobile device. Students do not need a mobile device to take the class but will need access to a mobile device at home. VR projects will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program.
