Learning to play the piano is a fun and rewarding way for students to express themselves, build confidence, and develop a lifelong appreciation for music. In this engaging class, students will learn fundamental piano techniques, basic music theory, and keyboard skills through hands-on instruction and practice. Whether they are sitting at the piano for the first time or building on existing skills, students will enjoy creating music while developing their musical abilities. All equipment will be provided during class.

Week Lesson
1 Students will be introduced to Middle C and Finger and Numbers.
2 Students will then learn the value of Middle C - Teach them about putting their hands in Middle C position (LH on F-G-A-B-C, RH on C-D-E-F-G, thumbs sharing Middle C).
3 Teach a basic warm-up — Piano alphabet and numbers. Learning to hear various keystrokes.
4 New song introduced along with various key stroke warmups.
5 Learning notes/warm-ups on keystrokes.
6 New song introduced along with various keystroke warmups. Continue practicing on current songs.
7 New song introduced along with various keystroke warmups. Continue practicing on current songs.
8 New song introduced along with various keystroke warmups. Continue practicing on current songs.
9 Prepare for recital.
10 Recital day. Parents will be invited to the last class to see their child’s accomplishments.
