    Our soccer class is designed for students interested in learning the foundational skills and concepts of the game in a supportive and energetic environment. Instruction will focus on essential techniques such as proper footwork, passing, trapping, scoring, and basic defensive and offensive movement. Students will participate in age-appropriate drills and guided game-like activities that promote coordination, spatial awareness, quick thinking, and confidence in the field. Throughout the program, players will practice teamwork, communication, and fair play while developing a strong understanding of how the game works. Each student will receive a T-shirt.   • Drone Adventures

    The drones are here! Let the battles begin. In this hands-on, interactive class, you will learn how to safely fly drone robots. Working in teams, you will be able to code your drone to compete in missions that will prepare you for the ultimate team challenge at the end of the week. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. Week Lesson/Activity 1 Learn basic flight safety and takeoff. Create student accounts, explore drone safety rules, and perform a first flight (stable hover and safe landing). 2 Understand flight physics and manual steering. Explore how propellers affect movement, navigate obstacle courses using manual controls, and begin basic speed trials. 3 Introduction to drone programming. Complete the basic sprint/laps challenge, link drones to computers, and begin coding autonomous shapes. 4 Program elevation changes. Finish automated shape-drawing flight paths and code vertical movement controls. 5 Master hurdle races and multi-axis movement. Compete in the automated hurdle race and start programming complex movements along multiple axes simultaneously. 6 Execute automated geometric patterns. Finalize multi-axis programming and utilize the Move block to guide the drone through vertical octagons. 7 Apply advanced manual flight mechanics. Practice coordinated rotation and pitch exercises, then compete in a manual slalom race. 8 Integrate hardware sensors. Read physical sensor telemetry within RoboLink and begin programming automated hover adjustments. 9 Program logic and perform tricks. Apply conditional logic (if/then statements) for automated altitude control and perform manual aerial flips. 10 Synthesize skills for the final showcase. Design a final comprehensive obstacle course, complete the ultimate trial, and execute automated drone choreography.

  • AI Prompt Engineering

    In this course, students will explore the functionality of AI. Using ChatGPT and Claude, students will learn proper techniques for prompting AI to achieve various tasks. From creating their own superheroes and stories to creating a quiz bot, students will experience the future of AI and how to utilize it like a professional. Week Lesson/Activity 1 Students are introduced to ChatGPT, learn the basics of how AI works, and begin their first prompts. 2 Students create a Bingo game and storyboard a set prompt with slight adjustments. 3 Students begin to explore the programming behind AI, learn to give precise instructions to provide their goal outcome. 4 Students explore story chaining by writing in tandem with AI, and explore famous writings adjusted by AI. 5 Students explore using AI ethically and safely, creating a poster using AI to outline safety. We also discuss using it as a tool for learning rather than cheating. 6 Students begin developing images using AI, and they create a color by number. 7 Students continue the exploration of image generation using Canva AI and create their own flyers. 8 Students explore “breaking” AI by asking prompts that the chatbot is unable to answer. 9 Students begin working on their final projects: the AI detective. In this project, they will explore a variety of career paths with AI and present how AI can be used in that field. 10 Students finish their AI Detective project and have presentations.

    Designed in collaboration with NASA, this hands-on STEM program takes students on an exciting journey through space. Explore planets, moons, stars, and space phenomena, learn how astronauts live and work in space, investigate rocket science and space technology, and participate in a rocket launch. The program is designed to inspire future space explorers by combining real-world space science with engaging, hands-on learning activities. Students will gain a deeper understanding of space exploration while developing curiosity, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for STEM fields. Travel to the end of the rainbow and make a sunset. Mix up various planetary atmospheres, one molecule at a time. See how space telescopes spot exoplanets and bring home new knowledge about other worlds. 2 Living in Space Suit up for a space flight and experience the life of an astronaut! Kids use teamwork to complete an important space mission and learn how Ground Control connects with astronauts across the vast distance of space. This class is a taste of living above the world! 3 Planets and Moons Explore the farthest reaches of our solar system and create a lunar eclipse on our home planet. Kids size up the difference between the Earth and its moon. They simulate how gravitational pull affects a probe in space and practice their grasp of gravity! 4 Rocket Science This is a chance for kids to investigate the four forces of flight as they race through space. They explore the science involved in rocket construction and find a way to help astronauts fix a problem onboard their spacecraft. This class is a great introduction to aerospace engineering! 5 Space Phenomena Junior astronauts probe the mysteries of meteors and bounce around satellite light! This phenomenal class explains spectacular space events. Kids learn how to explore faraway objects with telescopes and satellites and gain insight on the lights in the night sky. 6 Space Technology Discover technology that’s out of this world! Kids steer a laser beam through a laser maze and discover everyday objects originally designed for use in space. They feel their way around radar and see why we make technology with stereo vision. This is hi-tech space! 7 Space Travel Budding engineers learn what it takes to be a true globetrotter! Kids race a rocket and design their own car engine as they learn about thrust. They see the principles of propulsion at work in a real rocket launch and achieve light years of new space knowledge! 8 Sun and Stars This stellar class leads kids through the life cycles of the stars! They learn about our star, the Sun, and see stardust form. From baby star nebulae to spotting supernovae, children see how our star makes waves across the spectrum! 9 Moving Motion Children learn all about the forces behind the movement of planes, trains, and automobiles. They explore Newton’s laws of motion and get a feel for friction, inertia, and gravity. They see how mass affects movement and try out some physics tricks! 10 Energy Burst Children experiment with potential and kinetic energy as they pop, jump, and flip with hopping, swimming, and swinging toys. Children learn about the potential of stored energy in wind-up gadgets.
