Get ready for a sweet adventure in baking! During this 8-week class, students will learn how to mix, shape, dip, and decorate fun themed cake pops inspired by the seasons—from Valentine’s hearts to spring flowers and beach days. Each week builds new skills in creativity, design, and kitchen confidence, ending with a special parent showcase where families join in on the fun. It’s the perfect blend of learning, laughter, and sprinkles!

1 Welcome & Kitchen Kickoff Theme: “Meet, Greet, and Sweet!” Get to know your fellow bakers
  • Review class expectations, kitchen safety, and cleanliness
  • Discuss ingredients and tools used in cake pop making
  • Fun team activity: Decorate an apron for use each week

2 Cake Pop Basics Theme: “Let’s Make Cake Pops!”
  • Learn how to crumble and mix pre-baked cake with frosting
  • Practice rolling uniform cake balls
  • Learn how to melt chocolate safely and dip cake pops
  • Decorate with sprinkles and drizzles
Focus Skill: Forming shapes, melting, and dipping chocolate
3 Season of Love Theme: “Love Pops!”
  • Create heart-shaped and swirl cake pops
  • Use red, pink, and white chocolate
  • Decorate with hearts, sprinkles, and edible glitter
  • Discuss creative color combinations and design ideas
Focus Skill: Shaping and layering colors
4 Springtime Blossoms Theme: “Flower Power Pops”
  • Turn cake pops into colorful spring flowers
  • Learn to use fondant or candy pieces for petals and leaves
  • Experiment with pastel color palettes
Focus Skill: Using candy/fondant accents and design assembly
5 Down by the Shore Theme: “Beach Party Pops”
  • Make beach ball, flip-flop, and sunshine cake pops
  • Use graham cracker “sand” and candy seashells
  • Discuss how to use textures for creative designs
Focus Skill: Texture and themed decoration
6 Critter Creations Theme: “Bug & Animal Pops”
  • Design animal cake pops like ladybugs, bees, and chicks
  • Learn how to use mini candies for faces and features
  • Practice details with edible markers and piping

7 Pop Art Party Theme: “Design Your Own Pop!”
  • Kids design their own unique themed cake pop
  • Practice their favorite techniques (shaping, dipping, detailing)

8 Parent Showcase & Celebration Theme: “Bake & Bond: Family Cake Pop Challenge!”
  • Parents join their young bakers to create cake pops together
  • Kids share what they’ve learned
Focus Skill: Presentation, teamwork, and confidence
