    Begin your rise to the top of the charts with digital music production! Just like today’s top artist, you can design your own beats or remix a mashup of your favorite songs to become a digital composer and sound engineer. In this course, students will learn to produce digital music, record sound, make sound effects, and mix their own tracks. No prior music experience is necessary. Student-created soundtracks will be available on a password protected website to share with friends and family. Week Lesson/Activity 1 Introduction to Soundtrap, account creation, and exploration of the Soundtrap Studio editor. Students will create a list of favorite sounds and their first looping track. 2 Exploring MIDI samples, patterns, and keys in Soundtrap. Students will create custom loop segments and a themed music track. 3 Adding effects and balancing audio in Soundtrap. Students will export their project tracks as MP3 files. Recording and importing live audio, including sound effects. 4 Recording podcasts, vocals, and SFX. Students will explore copyright and licensing basics for digital audio. 5 Free recording and composing in Soundtrap Studio. Introduction to AudioMass software and interface. 6 Importing Soundtrap audio files into AudioMass and adding/editing filters to refine audio files. 7 Completing and exporting final, remastered audio tracks from AudioMass. 8 Finalizing projects, project upload, and the "Jam Battle" activity.     Let’s meet INDI! This class is entry level robot that is designed to introduce early learners to the fundamentals of computational thinking, STEAM, and computer science principles. INDI encourages open ended, imaginative play-based learning with real-life scenarios as leaners build custom mazes, solve puzzles, and drive. As students learn pattern recognition, creating and using algorithms, decomposition, and understanding abstractions, they will become better thinkers and problem solvers. Week Skills Lesson/Activity 1 Introduction to Indi Students will review how to use color tiles to program Indi's movements. They will experiment with different tile combinations to navigate simple mazes. 2 Intro to Indi Commands & Colors Indi the Car and the Magical Rainbow 3 Indi Car Adventures Create a simple path following directions. 4 Indi Car and his Reventure Explore turns and directions. 5 Mini City Race time!   • Code Sphero Bolt

    Sphero is an adorable, durable, interactive—you guessed it—spherebolt. Its functionality is almost boundless. Students will use the Sphero has a programmable 8x8 LED matrix, so students can code it to change colors when Sphero rolls, stops or starts, reaches a goal, or whenever else they’d like. Coding sounds hard, but our younger coders utilize what’s called block coding. This means they’re not typing out code by hand—which can be complicated for such an age group—but rather dragging visual blocks into the coding area and connecting them. Week Build Lesson/Activity 1 What is a Sphero Students will be introduced to the bot and how to care for their bot, including how to navigate the tablet with the app. 2 Draw 1 Students will learn to code the bot to draw shapes and how to convert the code into other languages. 3 Generative Art & AI Students will create artwork using code, how to control the robot moves and how code is used to control AI. 4 Block 1 How to create a new program on a block canvas. How to code roll block, speed, heading and duration. 5 Block 2 Light and sounds – students will be challenged to create a story to execute asynchronously and synchronously and how to use delay blocks. 6 Bolt meets ChatGPT How AI chatbots like ChatGPT work, modify JavaScript programs to make Bolt introduce itself. Advantages and disadvantages of AI chatbots. 7 TEXT 1 Hello World! What makes JavaScript useful, modify and a text program, define and use functions. 8 Matrix Emotions Students will program their own animation on Bolt LED Matrix.

This introductory level food literacy program teaches simple cooking techniques, food origins, seasonal recipes, and kitchen safety while having hands-on fun! Students gain self- confidence and priceless life skills while reinforcing core academics. Each session brings a different themed syllabus. This class can accommodate nut allergies.     In this beginner-friendly crochet class, students will learn how to turn yarn into amazing masterpieces Over the course, students will learn basic stitches, practice simple patterns, and complete projects that they will be proud of. Week Skills 1 Learning the art of Crochet (holding the crochet needle in one hand and holding the yarn in the other. 2 Crochet a chain stitch and or magic ring; along with learning how to crochet by crochet. 3 Repeat week 1 and 2. 4 Learning to crochet (students will be given a choice to select what they would like to crochet for their project. For example, a scarf, hat, critter, small blanket, pillow, mittens, and so on.) 5-7 Repeat of 1-4 8 Present crochet project to parents.

Instruction will focus on essential techniques such as proper footwork, passing, trapping, scoring, and basic defensive and offensive movement. Students will participate in age-appropriate drills and guided game-like activities that promote coordination, spatial awareness, quick thinking, and confidence in the field. Throughout the program, players will practice teamwork, communication, and fair play while developing a strong understanding of how the game works.
