Let’s meet INDI! This class is entry level robot that is designed to introduce early learners to the fundamentals of computational thinking, STEAM, and computer science principles. INDI encourages open ended, imaginative play-based learning with real-life scenarios as leaners build custom mazes, solve puzzles, and drive. As students learn pattern recognition, creating and using algorithms, decomposition, and understanding abstractions they will become better thinkers and problem solvers.

Semester at a Glance

Week Skills Lesson/Activity
1 Meet Indi the BOT! Students will be engaged with weekly objectives, vocabulary, exploration skills building, and challenges geared around the concepts of coding. Lesson includes learning to code stop, celebrations, left, right.
2 Directions Learn routines, transition, and mini city.
3 Patterns Identify patterns, looping patterns, sequence nature.
4 Measuring Simple distance, measuring maze and where are we going?
5 Mixed Bag Story path and running a marathon.
6 Meet the App and Sing to Me Code your bot to sing and exploration.
7 Reverse the Loop Skills building - programming your own color instructions.
8 Indi Special Add Ons Students are introduced to different joystick modes. allow Bot without the need for color.
10 Puzzle races – Parent Showcase Students will learn ocean life and animals and create a story scene after each build students will share a story about the build.
