STEP into a space where mind, body and community unite in perfect sync! Our unique dance fusion style blends inspiration Hip Hop & Modern Dance with the rich traditions of Stepping, K-Pop, Bollywood, West African and Latin dance. Our skilled coaches promote physical health, mental-emotional wellness, positive social interactions, and cultural appreciation. As they master each step and movement participants dive into the world of dance technique, gain valuable performance experience, and hone their teamwork and leadership skills in a fun-filled supportive environment.

Semester at a Glance

Week Lesson/Activity
1 Students will engage in Team building, Get to Know You activities and learn warm up routines.
2 Students will learn drills, team formations and team identity.
3 Students will learn section one of dance routines in whole group/ small groups including Hip Hop/ Modern and traditional dance of team choice.
4 Students will learn section two of dance routines in whole group/ small groups including Hip Hop/ Modern and traditional dance of team choice.
5 Students will learn section three of dance routines in whole group/ small groups including Hip Hop/ Modern and traditional dance of team choice.
6 Students will review and refine sections one through three of dance routines in whole group/ small groups including Hip Hop/ Modern and traditional dance of team choice.
7 Students will rehearse the entire presentation with small group intensives as needed.
8 Students will rehearse the entire presentation with small group intensives as needed.
9 Students will have a dress rehearsal with uniform and/ or props.
10 Culmination Performance in collaboration with campus/ district showcases, Program shirts with student-led creative design elements (i.e Scarves, jeans, bandanas) Program certificate and team pictures.
