Get ready to explore the Francophone world with our exciting thematic unit, "The Magic Map: A Journey Through French-Speaking Lands." This immersive and imaginative experience invites children to follow four curious friends as they unlock the magic of language and culture with the help of an enchanted map that leads them to French-speaking countries around the globe. Each class, campers will “travel” to a new destination where French is spoken—such as the fragrant lavender fields of France, the colorful markets of Morocco, the tropical landscapes of Guadeloupe, and the festive streets of Haiti during Carnival. Students will discover unique traditions as they dive into the rich cultures that make up the Francophone world. Through songs and play-based activities, children will naturally acquire French words and phrases. Language is woven into every part of the journey, making learning joyful and intuitive as they follow the magical map on its next adventure.
